R3 t20 why is it still at 4.0???? It has shape of r3 t106 which sit at 6.3, and guns that can really obliterate anything, bruh nothing pass the RoF of t20 even at BR 8.0, any props planes will never have chances to escape, unlike when shot by any other SPAAs even zds and wilberwind, which can give some slightest chance of surviving and going base. Legends War Thunder ┾LWT┿ Report post; Posted January 1. Many of you know how irritating fighting R3 T20 FA-HS is, how it outright outclasses everysingle SPAAG even up highest BRs. There is simply to put it no counterpart which can: Outmaneuver R3, there isn't any SPAAG nor Light vehicle at that BR that can compete with it.

So, there are a lot of people that still think the R3 T20 needs its BR increased, even after it already had its BR increased from 3.3 to 3.7. Some say it is overpowered, and some simply don't want a 1980s vehicle fighting early World War 2 tanks. There is also the opposing side here, which believes that significantly raising its BR would render the vehicle useless.

Now, I think R3 T20 as it already is can have its BR increased to like 4.7, but lets not stop there. What if I told you the current R3 T20 is not implemented at its full potential? There are many attributes that the vehicle had which are either missing or simply not as effective as they should be. I will list them down below. The information below comes from Jane's Light Tanks and Armoured Cars, written by Christopher F Foss (1984).

-The historical vehicle had a top speed of 120 km/h. The in-game vehicle is 115 km/h (yes this memecar was even faster in real life).

-The historical vehicle was amphibious. The in-game vehicle isn't, despite the Gaijin website stating otherwise.

-The historical vehicle was equipped with passive nightvision and infrared sights. I guess we will see what happens in the next update, but so far there is no word on whether the R3 T20 is going to have this feature.

T20

-The historical vehicle had a maximum crew of 5. The in-game vehicle has a maximum crew of 4.

-The historical vehicle was a reconnaissance/scout car. The in-game vehicle doesn't even have an active scouting ability.

-The historical vehicle could be loaded with SAPHEI and APDS ammunition. This is missing in game.

R3 T20 War Thunder

While the devs are at it. They could give it improved optics, airstrike, and smoke grenades as part of its modification tree to further improve its capabilities for mid-high tier matches. They should also slightly buff the armour penetration. I have not seen a ballistics test, but I know the Oerlikon 20mm attached to the R3 T20 had a slightly higher muzzle velocity and fired a heavier round than the M168 Vulcan used on the M163, and yet for some reason it has 20% less armour penetration in comparison. If the R3 T20 was made more like the real life vehicle, and balanced accordingly, I think its BR could potentially be as high as 6.0 or even 7.0, and it probably would still fair pretty well in the game. It is worth noting that some of the things I mentioned would also apply to the R3 T106 as well, so that vehicle would also have to be balanced accordingly.
